10.The Statue of Liberty Nebula (NGC 3576)

After a year of not leveraging my Telescope Live account I decided it would be worth spending some time revisiting the service and seeing what upgrades they’ve managed in the new 3.0 instance. Much to my surprise they have now “batch” collected a number of their datasets for specific targets giving users the opportunity to download and work from. 

With that in mind, I wanted to pull as much data as possible of a bright emission nebula in the Sagittarius Arm of the galaxy known as NGC 3576. Due to the shape of its structures, it’s often called the Statue of Liberty Nebula and is about 9000 lightyears from our position.

I’ve also processed another version using the CHI-2 telescope that is more close in.
